 |  | Passwords are vital to your security. However, hackers can easily crack a poor password. Follow these important guidelines for more effective passwords. Do's
- Use passwords with 6 or more characters.
- Use a combination of mixed-case letters, numbers, and other allowed characters.
- Change your passwords periodically e.g. every 3-6 months.

Tip: Start with a nonsensical word that's easy for you to remember, then change the case of certain letters and/or substitute them with non-alphabetic characters. Example... Good: "fotlang" Better: "foTlang" Best: "foT!ang" Do NOT's
- Do not use passwords shorter than 6 characters.
- Do not use passwords containing all letters or numbers.
- Do not use passwords based on personal data such as names, dates, telephone number, etc.
- Do not use passwords containing words you can find in a dictionary.
