» Extra Partition on Hard Drive for PC Restore

The Dell PC Restore by Symantec program adds an extra partition to the computer's hard disk drive. This partition is from 2.7 gigabytes (GB) to 4.75 GB. The extra partition on the hard disk drive hosts the Dell PC Restore by Symantec program.

This program allows for restoring factory-installed programs that may have become damaged, without having to locate the original program installation media.

For additional information about the image restore program, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: "Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings" Article ID: 336966.
