Alternatively, you can identify your sound card by referring to System Information in your computer:

1. Click Start and then click Run.
   
   
2. In the Run window, type the following text in the Open: text box:
   
   msinfo32.exe
   
   
3. Click OK.
   
   
4. In the System Information window, under the System Summary menu on the left, click the plus sign (+) next to Components.
   
   
5. In the  list of installed components, click to select Sound Device. The sound card is listed in the right-hand pane next to Name.
