» LSASS.EXE Overview

This article explains how to resolve the System error LSASS.EXE object name not found error in the Windows XP operating system.

Note:
LSASS.EXE is a required system file that, if damaged or deleted, causes the system to lockup booting to any mode. This file can be recovered by using the Recovery Console feature in Windows XP. Because of differences in the operating systems, two methods enable access to the Recovery Console.

Note:

Dell recommends using the Dell™ PC Restore by Symantec application as an alternative to performing a manual installation. You can also download your drivers and software instead of using CDs.
