The power required by a Dell portable computer varies depending on the LCD panel size, video card, and processor type. It is important to connect the correct AC adapter for optimal performance. The power rating for the AC adapter (Figure 1) can be found on the sticker located on the back of the adapter brick (Figure 2a). Some bricks do not have the wattage rating printed on the back of the brick, but you can still determine if it is correct by checking the adapter family, which can also be found on the sticker on the back of the adapter brick (Figure 2b).
