If you are experiencing computer lock-ups or freezes on your Studio XPS 13, it is recommended to update to the latest Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) and nVidia Video Driver.
  1. Save any work and close all programs.




  2. It is recommended that you add this link to your favorites or print the instructions out as this is a two part process that will require a restart of the computer.




  3. The computer must be running on A/C power during this process.




  4. For information on how to download and install drivers and updates, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article "How to Use the Drivers and Downloads Website" Article ID: 324722.


  5. The BIOS update us under the Bios category and the nVidia Video Driver is under the Video category.
If the lockups persist after the updates, contact Dell Tech Support in your region.
