The ATI Catalyst™ Control Center is a graphical user application providing access to the display features contained within the installed AMD hardware and software. Use the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center to fine-tune your graphics settings, enable or disable connected display devices, and change the orientation of your desktop. Many of the features show you a preview of the changes before they are applied.
The ATI Catalyst™ Control Center offers you three views of the software:
Standard View is a simplified view that includes wizards to get the inexperienced user up and running.
Advanced View allows the advanced user to access and configure the complete feature set of the software.
Custom View allows the advanced user to access and configure a selected feature set of the software.
The ATI Catalyst™ Control Center can be customized for easy access to the features you use most.
Use the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center to access a comprehensive online help system, or connect to the AMD Web site.

Starting ATI Catalyst™ Control Center
Start ATI Catalyst™ Control Center from one of the following access points:

Windows Desktop
1. Right-click the Windows desktop.
2. From the short menu, select ATI Catalyst Control Center.
Windows Start Menu
From the Windows task bar, click Start, and then select Programs > ATI Catalyst™ Control Center.
Windows System Tray
1. Right-click the ATI icon in the Windows System Tray.
2. From the short menu, select ATI Catalyst Control Center.
Desktop Shortcut
When you first installed the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center, the setup wizard provided you with the option of placing a shortcut on the desktop. If you chose this option, you can double-click the ATI Catalyst Control Center desktop shortcut.
Predefined Hot Keys
If Hotkeys feature is enabled, press the predefined combination of keys, Ctrl+Alt+C to launch ATI Catalyst™ Control Center, or you can define your own hot key sequence by using the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center Hotkey Manager.
Accessing ATI Catalyst™ Control Center Help
ATI Catalyst™ Control Center Help provides information on the features and
concepts of your ATI Radeon™ graphics card. You can also use the
ATI Catalyst™ Control Center Help feature to access usage information, generate a
problem report, and get software version information for your graphics card.
Open ATI Catalyst™ Control Center in the Advanced view.
Choose one of the following options:
Press the F1 key at any time to get specific help on the currently
displayed information.
From the ATI Catalyst Control Center Dashboard, choose Help -> Help
Contents to browse the entire help contents.
From the ATI Catalyst Control Center Dashboard, choose Help -> Search
Help to search the help contents for a specific term.
To access AMD's Web site, from the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center
Dashboard, choose Help -> Go to ATI.com.

Search the Help
In Advanced view, click Help in the Dashboard.
Click Search Help.
Enter the word(s) you wish to search for the in search box of the
ATI Catalyst™ Control Center Help.
Click Go.
Applying, Discarding, and Saving Your Settings
Each page of the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center has Apply, Defaults, and Cancel buttons that function in a consistent manner.
Apply your settings
Click Apply to save your changes and leave the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center open.
Click OK to save your changes and exit the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center.
Restore default settings
Move the mouse to the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
Click Defaults.
NOTE: Clicking Defaults will restore the defaults for the current view only. Previous settings are not altered and will be saved once you click OK.
Discard your settings
Click Discard to ignore any unsaved changes and restore the settings that existed when the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center was opened or the last time Apply was used. Discard does not close the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center.
NOTE: Clicking Discard applies to all features of an aspect, not just the feature in the current view.
