TV Setup: 128MB DDR ATI Radeon™ 9700 TX with TV-Out User's Guide
If you ordered this graphic controller with the system, Dell installed and configured it for use.
Your system's video drivers were installed by Dell, and are operative when you receive the system. No
further installation or configuration is necessary. Store the driver CD that came with your system
in a safe place in case you ever need to reinstall the drivers
Using TV Out
The 128MB DDR ATI Radeon™ 9700 TX has TV Out capability. You can connect to a television and monitor at
the same time. Television display is ideal for playing games, giving presentations and watching movies.
Connecting The 128MB DDR ATI Radeon™ 9700 TX To A Television
Determine if your television has an S-Video input connector. If your television has RCA input, you
will need an S-Video to RCA adapter.
Locate the card's S-Video output. Using an S-Video cable attach one end of the cable to the PC's
S-Video connector and the other end to your television.
Enabling and Disabling Television Display
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Double-click Display. Click on the Settings tab and then the Advanced... button.
Click on the ATI Displays tab.
Click on the enable/disable button next to the word "TV" to enable/disable television display.
Click Apply to save the changes you have made.
NOTE: If there is no display on your television, you may need to switch it to video display mode.

Choosing The NTSC or PAL Standard
NOTE: You must first enable television display before you can perform these steps.
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Double-click Display. Click on the Settings tab and then the Advanced... button.
Click on the ATI Displays tab.
Click on the TV button, then click the Format tab.
Click Select by Format then select the desired NTSC or PAL format from the drop-down list.
