Removing the GamePanel

CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
   
   
2. Remove the hinge cover (see Removing the Hinge Cover).
   
   
3. Remove the keyboard (see Removing the Keyboard).
   
   
4. Disconnect the GamePanel connector from the system board.
   
   
5. Remove the two screws securing the GamePanel.

6. Remove the GamePanel.
   
   

Replacing the GamePanel

1. Align the GamePanel over the screw holes.
   
   
2. Replace the two screws that secure the GamePanel.
   
   
3. Replace the GamePanel connector to the systemboard.
   
   
4. Replace the keyboard (see Replacing the Keyboard).
   
   
5. Replace the hinge cover (see Replacing the Hinge Cover).
