Replacing Memory Module(s)
XPS One Service Manual

Follow the procedures in Before You Begin .
Remove the computer cover (see Replacing the Computer Cover ).
Push apart the securing clips on the memory module connector until the
module pops up.

To replace the memory module(s), align the notch on the memory module
with the tab on the memory module connector.
NOTICE: If the memory module is not installed properly, the computer may not boot.
Insert the module into the connector until the module snaps into position.
If you insert the module correctly, the securing clips snap into the cutouts at each end of the module.
Replace the computer cover (Replacing the Computer Cover ).
Connect your computer and all attached devices to electrical outlets, and
then turn them on.
When the message appears stating that memory size has changed, press
<F1> to continue.
Log on to your computer.
Right-click the My Computer icon on your Microsoft® Windows® desktop
and click Properties .
Click the General tab.
To verify that the memory is installed correctly, check the amount of
memory (RAM) listed.
