CAUTION: Before you begin the following procedure, follow the safety instructions that shipped with your computer. |
- Follow the instructions in Before Working on Your Computer.
- Remove the hard drive (see Removing the Hard Drive).
- Remove the WLAN card (see Removing a WLAN Card).
- Remove the fan (see Removing the Fan).
- Remove the hinge cover (see Removing the Hinge Cover).
- Remove the keyboard (see Removing the Keyboard).
- Remove the display assembly (see Removing the Display Assembly).
- Remove the palm rest (see Removing the Palm Rest).
- Disconnect the cable that secures the internal card with Bluetooth®
wireless technology to the system board (see Removing the Card).
- Remove the optical drive (see Removing the Optical Drive).
- Remove the USB daughter card (see Removing the USB Daughter Card).
- Remove the system board (see Removing the System Board Assembly).
- Disconnect the DC-power module connector from the system board.
- Lift the DC power module out of the computer.

NOTE: This procedure assumes that you have completed the removal procedure first. |
- Position the DC power module in the computer and connect the DC-
power module connector to the system board.
- Replace the system board (see Replacing the System Board Assembly).
- Replace the USB daughter card (see Replacing the USB Daughter Card).
- Replace the optical drive (see Replacing the Optical Drive).
- Connect the cable that secures the card with Bluetooth wireless
technology to the system board (see Replacing the Card).
- Replace the palm rest (see Replacing the Palm Rest).
- Replace the display assembly (see Replacing the Display Assembly).
- Replace the keyboard (see Replacing the Keyboard).
- Replace the hinge cover (see Replacing the Hinge Cover).
- Replace the fan (see Replacing the Fan).
- Replace the WLAN card (see Replacing a WLAN Card).
- Replace the hard drive (see Replacing the Hard Drive).
