Overview

The Dell PowerEdge 24U Rack is a 24 rack-unit (U), 19-inch server enclosure systems designed to enhance server manageability, serviceability, and reliability. Each rack-unit is equivalent to 1.75 inches.


Features

The Dell rack enclosure supports the following features:

  • Removable doors and side covers
  • Removable front and back doors and side-locking panels with key locks
  • Retractable keyboard shelf
  • Cable guides for system power and data cables
  • Split back door

A typical rack enclosure is shown in Figure 1, Rack System Components.


Options

  • Power strips and power distribution units
  • Monitor shelf
  • Switch box for connecting multiple systems to a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse
  • Uninterruptible power source
  • Filler panels
