Status Display Panel Removal: Dell Inspiron 3000 and 3200

- Remove the hinge covers and connector cover as described
in Keyboard Removal.
See "Keyboard," found
earlier in this chapter.
- Remove the status display panel screw SD1.
- Remove the status display panel.
The status display panel has 2
connectors.
- Disconnect the status display panel connector from
connector JP5 on the main board.
- Disconnect the speaker wiring harness from connector P3
on the status display panel.
- Remove the status display panel from the palmrest
assembly.

CAUTION: When reinstalling the connector cover, be
sure the routing of the I/R cable is correct. If the
wires of the I/R cable are not replaced correctly, with
relation to the tabs of the connector cover, future
removal of the cover may not be possible. |
