Indicator Panel


Power Indicator

Indicates the current state of the system (green LED)
Power indicator is on. The system is on.
Power indicator is off. The system is in suspend mode, in saved-to-disk mode, or off.

Drive Activity Indicator

Lights up when the diskette drive, CD-ROM drive, or hard-disk drive is being accessed (green LED)

Battery Indicator

Indicates the current state of the battery.
Amber LED blinks slowly. 15 minutes of battery time remaining.
Amber LED is on. 5 minutes of battery time remaining.
Green LED is on. The AC adapter is fast-charging the battery.
Green LED blinks. The AC adapter is providing a trickle charge to keep the battery at full capacity.
Green LED and amber LED both blink. The battery is too hot to charge. Turn off the computer and let the battery and computer cool to room temperature.
Amber LED blinks. If the amber battery indicator blinks 4 times per second when you connect or disconnect the AC adapter, or when the power button is pressed, replace the battery.

Num Lock Indicator

Lights up when the embedded numeric keypad is active

 Caps Lock Indicator

Lights up when the <Caps Lock> key is active

 Scroll Lock Indicator

Lights up when the <Scroll Lock> key is active
