Numeric Keypad Keys and Key Combinations
The embedded numeric keypad
shares some of the keys on the computer's keyboard. The
number and symbol characters are marked to the right on these
keys; the cursor-control functions are marked on the front of
these keys.
To activate the embedded numeric keypad, press
<Fn><Num Lock> (the Pad Lock indicator lights up on
the status display panel). Then press <Num Lock> to toggle
between cursor keys and number keys. Key combinations can be used
when the keypad is off or on.
To type just a few numbers or symbols using the embedded
numeric keypad, hold down the <Fn><Shift> keys while
pressing particular keypad keys. To temporarily access the
keypad's cursor-control functions, press the <Fn> key in
combination with particular keypad keys.
To activate the embedded numeric keypad, press the key so that
the Pad Lock and Num Lock indicators light up.
|
NOTE: The embedded numeric keypad is
automatically disabled if an external keyboard or keypad
is connected to the computer. |
