CAUTION: Ground yourself by attaching an
antistatic grounding strap to your wrist and to an
unpainted metal surface on the computers I/O panel.
If an antistatic grounding strap is not available,
periodically discharge static electricity from your body
by touching one of the connectors on the I/O panel. |
- Remove the memory module cover
by turning the computer over and removing the 2 memory
module screws.
- To remove a memory module, grasp the 2 retainer clips and
push them outward, releasing the memory module. Rotate
the module toward you and lift it out of the connector.
- To install a module, place the bottom of the module in
the connector, between the 2 retainer clips. Rotate the
module away from you toward the main board until you hear
the clips snap shut around the top of the module.
