Checking a Battery's Charge Level Using the Battery Status Utility: Dell� Latitude� LM

If you are using Microsoft� Windows�
3.x, the Battery Status icon at the bottom of your
display provides the following information. |

When the computer is connected to AC
power and a battery is installed, the battery is shaded
to show the amount of charge it has. |
 |
If the computer is not connected to AC
power, the AC power cable connector is shown as a gray
outline. |
 |
If no battery is installed, the battery
is displayed as a gray outline. |
 |
If the battery is low, the battery
portion of the icon displays a flashing down arrow. |
 |
This icon indicates that the computer is
connected to an AC adapter. |
If the computer is running on battery power, the icon label
displays a number representing the percentage of charge remaining
and approximately how much time the battery has left under
current working conditions.
 |
NOTE: Unless you hide it, the Battery Status icon
is displayed at all times. |
