Checking a Battery's Charge Level Using the Battery Status Utility: Latitude LM

00000018.gif If you are using Microsoft� Windows� 3.x, the Battery Status icon at the bottom of your display provides the following information.
00000019.gif When the computer is connected to AC power and a battery is installed, the battery is shaded to show the amount of charge it has.
00000020.gif If the computer is not connected to AC power, the AC power cable connector is shown as a gray outline.
00000021.gif If no battery is installed, the battery is displayed as a gray outline.
00000022.gif If the battery is low, the battery portion of the icon displays a flashing down arrow.
00000023.gif This icon indicates that the computer is connected to an AC adapter.

If the computer is running on battery power, the icon label displays a number representing the percentage of charge remaining and approximately how much time the battery has left under current working conditions.

NOTE: Unless you hide it, the Battery Status icon is displayed at all times.
