NOTICE: Disconnect the computer and any attached devices from electrical
outlets.

NOTICE: To avoid ESD, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or
by touching an unpainted metal surface on the computer.
|
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the keyboard.
- Remove the palm rest.
- Remove the hinge covers.
- Remove the display assembly.
- Remove the keyboard tray.
- Remove the four M2 x 3-mm screws that secure the cooling fan to the
system board.

- Remove the tape that secures the cooling fan cable to the fan.
 |
NOTICE: Do not pull on the cooling fan cable. Pull from the cooling fan
connector to disconnect the cable.

- Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the system board connector.
- Lift the cooling fan up and out of the bottom case.
