Turn the computer over and remove the 10 M2.5 x 5-mm screws and one
M2.5 x 8 screw.

Turn the computer top-side up and remove the four M2.5 x 5-mm screws
labeled "P".
Lift off the thermal plate.

Use the blue pull tab to disconnect the wireless catcher cable from the
system board.
Lift the lever up to disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
Use the black pull tab to disconnect the touch pad cable from the system
board.
Lift the lever up to disconnect the contact-less smart-card cable from the
system board.
Lift the lever up to disconnect the fingerprint reader cable from the system
board (optional).
CAUTION: Do not use force to separate the palm rest from the computer. If you encounter resistance, gently flex or apply pressure to the palm rest, or move along the edge, working away from the area of resistance, until the palm rest is free.
Remove the silk-screen bar.
Lift the left side of the palm rest, push in on the right side to release the
palm rest, then gently lift it from the computer.

Replacing the Palm Rest Assembly

Angle and connect the right side of the palm rest, then lower and snap the
left side into place.
Connect the contactless smart-card cable, the touch pad cable, the speaker
cable, the wireless switch cable, and the fingerprint reader cable (optional)
to the system board.
Replace the four M2.5 x 5-mm screws, two on the silk-screen bar and two
on the palm rest.
Turn the computer over and replace the eleven M2.5 x 5-mm screws on the
bottom of the computer to secure the palm rest.
