If you ordered a Mini-Card with your computer, the card is already installed.
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer.
NOTICE: To help prevent damage to the system board, you must remove the main battery (see Before Working Inside Your Computer) before you begin working inside the computer.
Disconnect the two antenna cables from the Mini-Card.

Release the Mini-Card by pushing the metal securing tabs toward the back of the computer until the
card pops up slightly.
Lift the Mini-Card out of its system board connector.

Replacing a Mini-Card
NOTICE: The system board and Mini-Card connectors are keyed to ensure correct insertion. If you feel resistance, check the connectors on the card and on the system board, and realign the card.
NOTICE: Make sure the antenna cables are not under the card when you insert it.
Insert the Mini-Card connector into the system board connector at a 45-degree angle.

Press the other end of the Mini-Card into the securing tabs until the card clicks into place.
Connect the black antenna cable to the connector labeled with a black triangle, and connect the white
antenna cable to the connector labeled with a white triangle.
