  Replacing the Charger Board

CAUTION: Before performing the following procedures, follow the safety instructions shipped with your computer.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching a connector on the back panel of the computer.

Removing the Charger Board

1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
   
   
2. Remove the system board (see System Board).
   
   
3. Remove the screw that secures the charger board to the base of the computer.

4. Lift the charger board away from the base of the computer.
   
   

Replacing the Charger Board

1. Align the screw hole on the charger board with the screw hole on the base of the computer.
   
   
2. Replace the screw that secures the charger board to the base of the computer.
   
   
3. Replace the system board (see System Board).
   
   
4. Slide the battery into the battery bay, until it clicks into place.
