  Replacing the Camera

CAUTION: Before working inside your computer, follow the safety instructions shipped with your computer.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).

Removing the Camera

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
   
   
2. Remove the display assembly (see Display).
   
   
3. Remove the display bezel (see Display).
   
   
4. Remove the display panel (see Display).
   
   
5. Remove the two M2 x 3-mm screws that secure the camera.
   
   
6. Disconnect the camera cable from the camera cable connector.

7. Remove the camera.
   
   

Replacing the Camera

1. Connect the camera cable to the camera cable connector.
   
   
2. Align the camera with the screw holes on the display frame.
   
   
3. Replace the two M2 x 3-mm screws that secure the camera to the display frame.
   
   
4. Replace the display panel (see Display).
   
   
5. Replace the display bezel (see Display).
   
   
6. Replace the display assembly (see Display).
   
   
7. Slide the battery into the battery bay, until it clicks into place.
