CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Removing the Battery) before working inside the computer.
Remove the five screws that secure the palm rest bracket to the computer
base.
Turn the computer over and open the display.
Remove the four screws that secure the palm rest bracket.
Disconnect the power button cable, Bluetooth card cable, power/battery
status light cable, and speaker cable from their respective system board
connectors.

Carefully lift the palm rest bracket along the rear edge, near the hinge
brackets, then gently lift the palm rest bracket to remove it from the
computer.
Replacing the Palm Rest Bracket
Place the palm rest bracket on the computer base and snap it into place.
Replace the four screws that secure the palm rest bracket.
Connect the power button cable, Bluetooth card cable, power/battery
status light cable, and speaker cable to their respective system board
connectors.
