Using the AGP Card Clip: Dell™ Dimension™ 8100 System Reference


Some computers use an AGP card clip instead of an AGP card brace to secure the AGP card. 

To release an AGP card from the AGP card clip:

  1. Press the lever on the left side of the AGP card clip to release the card from the card connector. 

  2. Release the clip lever after the card clears the connector pins.

4 Card connector

To secure an AGP card to the AGP clip:

  1. Align the card with the connector pins while slightly pushing out the card clip lever with your thumb. 

  2. While continuing to push out the card clip lever, gently press the card into the card connector until the card is fully seated into place.

  3. Release the clip lever.
