The 3 DIMM
sockets can accommodate from 64 to 384
MB of RAM.
Supported DIMM sizes are as follows:
- 32 MB (non-ECC)
- 64 MB (non-ECC)
- 128 MB (non-ECC)
- 64 MB (ECC)
- 128 MB (ECC)

NOTE: You can mix DIMM
sizes and install them in any order in the memory banks,
leaving a bank unoccupied if necessary. It is recommended
that you fill the sockets in order starting with Bank 0,
but it is not a requirement. |
Only 100-MHz DIMMs are supported. The system
can include both ECC and non-ECC memory; however, to support ECC,
all installed DIMMs must be ECC-capable. ECC DIMMs have
9 memory chips on the module and non-ECC DIMMs have 8 chips.

Every 100-MHz DIMM has a sticker that identifies the
manufacturer and provides specifications in the following format:
x = Frequency (MHz)
a = CAS latency
b = tRP
c = tRCD
d = tSAC
e = SPD revision
f = tTBD
R = Registered DIMM
For example, a DIMM with the mark PC100-222-620R specifies a
registered 100-MHz module that conforms with SPD version 1.2 and
has 2 clocks, a tRP and tRCD of 2, and a tSAC of 6 ns.
