Ensure that your computer and attached devices are turned off. If your computer and
attached devices did not automatically turn off when you shut down your computer,
turn them off now.
NOTICE: To disconnect a network cable, first unplug the cable from your computer and then
unplug it from the network wall jack.
Disconnect any telephone or telecommunication lines from the computer.
Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets, and
then press the power button to ground the system board.
NOTICE: Before touching anything inside your computer, ground yourself by touching an
unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the computer. While you work,
periodically touch an unpainted metal surface to dissipate any static electricity that could harm
internal components.
Removing an AGP Card
Remove the filler bracket by raising the hinged lever and sliding the filler bracket up.
Slide the card clip toward the front of the computer until the tab is out of the notch
on the card.
Pull the card up and out of the AGP connector.
Installing an AGP Card
NOTE: If you purchased the optional video card, ensure that you connected your monitor cable
to the correct video connector.
NOTICE: You must use low-profile cards for your computer. A full-size card can damage the
computer or the card.
To add or replace the card, slide the card clip toward the front of the computer to
ensure that the clip is unlocked.
Gently press the card into the AGP connector until it is fully seated.
Slide the card clip toward the back of the computer, ensuring that the tab fits into the
notch on the front end of the card.
Secure the card by lowering the hinged lever on the back panel.
