Removing the Cover: Dell™ Dimension™ XPS Dxxx Systems

1. Turn off the power and unplug the power cable.
2. For mini tower systems, lay the system on its right side, with the foot off the edge of the work surface.
3. Loosen the cover-mounting thumbscrew that secures the cover.

   NOTE: The thumbscrew is captive and should be retained in the cover when loosened.

4. Face the front of the chassis. Place both hands, palms down, near the 2 back corners of the cover.
5. Using your index fingers, push inward on the 2 cover release latches to release the cover.
6. Slide the cover approximately 1 inch toward the back of the computer.
7. Lift the cover away from the chassis.
