There are 5 connectors at the back of the drive unit. There are audio connectors, Master/Slave select connector, IDE interface connector and power connector.
Digital Audio Output Connector
The drive has a 2-pin connector for digital line out in the rear drive as shown below.
Analog Audio Line Output Connector
The drive has a 4-pin male connector for audio line output as shown below.
EIDE Master/Slave Select Connector
The drive has a 6-pin double row male connector for Master/Slave in the rear of the drive as shown below.
CS(CSEL): The device shall use the host interface signal CABLE SELECT to
configure (1, 4).
MA(Master): The device shall use the MASTER (3, 6).
SL(Slave): The device shall use the SLAVE (2, 5).
NOTE: Only one jumper should be installed on the jumper connector. If more than one jumper is installed, the drive may malfunction or be damaged.
MASTER/SLAVE setting is determined by jumper connector. If you use CSEL setting, the
MASTER/SLAVE setting will be made automatically, depending on the hardware configuration.
IDE(ATAPI) interface Connector (ATA/ATAPI-6)
The drive has a 40-pin unshielded, shrouded, keyed, male IDE interface connector as shown below.
