Jumpers

= jumpered
= unjumpered

J2
(default)  Enables the expansion BIOS. The RAID controller that has the enabled expansion BIOS handles all RAID controllers in the host system.
Disables the expansion BIOS. If more than one RAID controller is installed in the host system, disable the expansion BIOS on all but one of the RAID controller cards.

J20
(default)  Sets TermPWR for channel 0 to be provided by the PCI bus on the host computer.
Sets TermPWR to be provided by the auxiliary power source. Use the J3 connector to provide TermPWR.
Sets TermPWR to be provided by the SCSI bus.

J17
(default)  Sets TermPWR for channel 1 to be provided by the PCI bus on the host computer.
Sets TermPWR to be provided by the auxiliary power source. Use the J3 connector to provide TermPWR.
Sets TermPWR to be provided by the SCSI bus.

 


Connectors

Connector Type Description
J3 4-pin connector Provides auxiliary terminator power (TermPWR) source for SCSI channels. J3 accepts a 4-pin Molex plug typically used for diskette drives. Use auxiliary TermPWR if you have wide termination on 2 SCSI channels with at least 1 channel having wide termination. Use this connector only when the J17 and/or J20 jumpers are configured for auxiliary-source SCSI TermPWR.
J4 68-pin connector Channel 0 wide (16-bit) SCSI.
J5 68-pin connector Channel 1 wide (16-bit) SCSI.
J8 50-pin connector Channel 0 (8-bit) SCSI.
J10 4-pin connector Connector for the hard-disk drive LED on the computer enclosure. The LED indicates data transfers on either of the SCSI channels.
J11 50-pin connector Channel 1 (8-bit) SCSI.
J12 2-pin connector Connector for the cache LED on the computer enclosure. The LED indicates when the data in the cache has not yet been written to the storage devices.
J15 9-pin connector Serial port connector.
J26 68-pin connector External 68-pin high-density SCSI
channel 1.
J18 72-pin (� 36) socket Bank 1 (odd) SIMM socket.
J19 8-pin connector Cache battery backup connector.
J21 20-pin connector Cache battery backup connector.
J22 72-pin (� 36) socket Bank 0 (even) SIMM socket.
J27 68-pin connector External 68-pin high-density SCSI
channel 0.
J28 3-pin Berg connector Chipset selector.
