The WD Caviar SE WD1600AAJS hard drive has a jumper block located to the
right of the Serial ATA connector block, when viewed from the end of the drive
with the label side up. WD Caviar SE SATA drives ship from the factory with
no jumper options set. The following table describes the jumper options:
SSC Enabled
Spread spectrum clocking feature enabled or disabled. Default setting is disabled (jumper removed).
OPT1 Enabled
Override 3.0Gb/s data transfer speed; force 1.5 Gb/s data transfer speed. Default setting is disabled (support 3Gb; jumper removed).
