Jumper Settings
Jumper Settings
Set the jumpers on the rear of
the drive in accordance with the configuration of your comp system.
The jumpers are preset to the CSEL position, as illustrated below.

Configures the drive
by using host interface signal CSEL(Cable Select).
This is the default setting for Dell™ desktop and workstation
systems. |

Configures the drive
as the slave.
Set the DVD-ROM drive as slave if the drive is daisy-chained with a hard-disk
drive on an IDE connector. |

Configures the drive as the master.
Set the DVD-ROM drive as master if the drive is the only device connected to
the IDE connector. |
