The Discs in this unit operate at a very high speed!
DO NOT use damaged, cracked or warped discs. The drive's optical unit may be damaged if they break.

DO NOT use non-standard discs. Non-standard discs may not play or store data properly.
Tray loading mechanism
Eject button, Software and emergency eject hole.

- This drive supports reading DVD-R media.
- Regionalization
- This drive supports RPCII provided by Mt. Fuji DVD specification.
The regional setting of this drive can be changed a maximum of 5 times.
To play a DVD movie, the drive must first be set to a Region.
* If no region is set at the factory, most software will set the drive to the
region coded on the first movie DVD disc which is played.
If the first disc is a multi-region coded disc, the drive will be set to the region
determined by such factors as time zone, or language etc, set into the operating
system. Once a drive is set to a region, the region can be reset, such as when
a user relocates to another region.
A REGION CAN ONLY BE RESET FOUR TIMES.
To reset a Region, use a DVD movie disc set to the new region.
A notification box will respond, explaining the disc belongs to another region
and cannot be played.
The notification explains the region setting can be reset.
Follow the instructions to reset the Drive.
NOTE: If you are using the drive as a data only
device, you will not be able to play DVD Video (movies).

- 100 ms (1/3 stroke read)
- Audio capability
- Audio capability follows the industry standard of CD-Audio format. This is the ability to Play and read standard CD-ROM disc.
- MPC3 compatibility
- This drive unit complies with the Microsoft specification for MPC3. The CPU
utilization is less than 40% at data rate of 600KB/sec, less than 20% at data
rate of 300KB/sec, and no less than 16KB of block size.
- MultiRead Capability
- This drive supports reading CD-RW media
- Headphone output volume control.

DVD Configuration
This DVD-ROM drive should be used only in its current hardware and software configuration.

Phones Jack
This jack is used to connect a set of headphones. Please use headphones with a stereo
mini-jack plug.
(Effective at playing CD-audio only)
Volume Control This
control is used to adjust the headphone volume. (Effective at playing CD-audio only)
NOTE: This control has no effect on the audio output
from the LINE
OUT
connector on the back of the DVD-ROM reader.
BUSY Indicator
This indicator lights amber while data is being read.
Tray Panel
This panel prevents dust from entering the DVD-ROM reader.
The DVD tray will be ejected when the Load/Eject button is pushed.
Emergency Eject Hole
Use to remove the disc from the DVD-ROM reader if the electrical eject is disabled
by software or if power failure occurs.
Load/Eject Button
This button is pressed to eject or retract the DVD tray when the power is on.
