Description

NOTE: You can access this log from the file server.log in the InstallDrive:\dell\openmanage\netstart\oem\jboss\log directory as well as through the GUI.

The LogsPropertiesApplication function enables you to save the system's application log, which contains detailed internal information for support and debugging purposes. 

Prerequisites

None.

Operations and Inputs

Perform the following steps to create an export log:
  1. Select the log file to export from the Value drop-down menu.

    The name of the log file is server.log. When server.log exceeds its 4-MB size limit, Remote Install creates a new log file with the name server1.log. This file is stored as a backup of server.log, and then server.log becomes the active log file again. Subsequent backups are named server2.log, server3.log, and so on. The Value drop-down menu displays all of these log files.

  2. Click Save As and browse for the desired destination of the log file. If you want, you can change the default log file name.

Expected Results

Remote Install filters, sorts, or exports the activities log table accordingly.
