This document is located on your documentation CD. ====================================================================== SUPPORTED SYSTEMS ====================================================================== ERA/MC is supported on the Dell PowerEdge(TM) 1655MC. ====================================================================== SOFTWARE COMPONENTS AND THEIR SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS ====================================================================== Your controller comes with software components that provide a set of services for each operating system supported by the PowerEdge 1655MC. These services interface with the controller hardware to enable the following functions: * Remote controller configuration through the serial management port or the Ethernet management port. * Remote access to the managed system's shared chassis components and limited access to its server modules. ERA/MC software components support the following operating systems: * Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server and Advanced Server * Red Hat Linux Professional 7.3 ====================================================================== SUPPORTED WEB BROWSERS ====================================================================== * Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later ###################################################################### KNOWN ISSUES FOR ERA/MC ###################################################################### * The ERA/MC Web-based remote access interface does not work properly with Netscape Navigator. This issue will be addressed in a future release. * If you want to launch the ERA/MC Web-based remote access interface from Dell OpenManage(TM) IT Assistant, you must enable certain Java options in Internet Explorer. To enable the Java options, perform the following steps: 1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools—> Internet Options... 2. In the Internet Options window, click the "Advanced" tab. 3. Scroll the "Settings" list downward until you see the "Microsoft VM" heading. 4. Under "Microsoft VM", select (check) either "Java console enabled (requires restart)", "Java logging enabled", or both. 5. Click "Apply", and then click "Ok". If you checked "Java console enabled (requires restart)", you must close and then reopen Internet Explorer for the settings to take effect. ###################################################################### Information in this document is subject to change without notice.
