To limit the stress load on the managed node and DRSC, you should add "sleep" or "delay" commands of one or two seconds between the individual "drscadm" commands. ====================================================================== Known Issues ====================================================================== The following section describes open issues with DRSC. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Erratic Mouse Movement on Server Screen During Console Redirection -------------------------------------------------------------------- The mouse movement on a local server appears jerky and possibly erratic during console redirection. This behavior is evident especially when using menus or opening windows. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Resizing Microsoft Windows Desktop to 640 x 480 Resolutions Causes Loss of Displayed Information -------------------------------------------------------------------- Resizing the Windows desktop to 640 x 480 resolution causes some loss of displayed information in the browser when viewing the DRSC graphical user interface (GUI). The behavior is the same in both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer. Enlarge the browser window to view all the displayed information. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows Advanced Server Limited Edition Operating System's Internet Explorer Browser Does Not Support Java Applets -------------------------------------------------------------------- You cannot use the browser (Internet Explorer) embedded in the Windows Advanced Server Limited Edition operating system to connect to the DRSC over the local area network (LAN) or the Internet because the browser does not provide support for Java applets. -------------------------------------------------------------------- DRSC May Not Display Graphical Console Redirection Properly -------------------------------------------------------------------- DRSC may display only text console redirection instead of graphical console redirection due to a problem with the 64-bit ATI Video driver loaded on the Windows Advanced Server Limited Edition Operating system. You must update the ATI Video driver from the Dell website or from the "System Support" CD. The installation instructions for updating the driver are included in a readme.txt file shipped in the driver package. The required ATI RageXL Video Driver Version is 5.0.2462.6000. The following files should be part of the driver package needed to update the ATI Rage XL video drivers for the Windows Advanced Server Limited Edition operating system: - ati2drad.dll - ati2mpad.sys - atixpad.inf - readme.txt ====================================================================== Information in this document is subject to change without notice.
