To save PDF files (files with an extension of .pdf) to your hard drive, right-click the document title, click Save Link As in Netscape Navigator or in any supported browser, and specify a location on your hard drive.

NOTE: To view the PDF files, it is recommended that you use the xpdf file viewer for the X Windows System. You can download xpdf from the Red Hat Linux website at www.redhat.com.

To view the files:

To start X Windows, type startx from a Red Hat Linux command prompt.

In a terminal window, type
xpdf filename to open the PDF file you want to view. 
For example, type:

xpdf lnx7132.pdf

For more information about how to use xpdf, type the following command at a Red Hat Linux command prompt:

man xpdf

To navigate within a PDF file, use the right- and left-arrow buttons at the bottom of the xpdf screen. A single arrow button moves the document one page in the direction indicated. A compound arrow button moves the document 10 pages in the direction indicated.
