Using the TrueMobile 1150 PC Card With the TrueMobile
1100 Series Access Point
TrueMobile 1150 PC Card will work with the TrueMobile 1100 Series Access
Points. To use a TrueMobile 1150 PC Card with a TrueMobile 1100 Series
Access Point do the following on the system that has the TrueMobile 1150 PC Card:
Open Client Manager by clicking Client Manager icon in the system tray. If
the Client Manager icon is not in the system tray, click Start->Programs->Dell
TrueMobile 1150->Client Manager.
Click on Actions then Add/Edit Configuration Profile.
On the Add/Edit Configuration Profile screen select a profile
and name it. Select Access Point.
Click on Edit Profile. The Edit Configuration screen appears.
In the Basic tab enter your Network Name.
If you are using Encryption, enter Encryption Key(s) in the Encryption
tab. Be sure to check the Enable Data Security box and select UseHexadecimal.
You will also need to make some changes to the TrueMobile 1100 Series Access Point. Do the following:
On the Express Setup configuration screen, place a check mark in the Non-Aironet
802.11 box on the EnsureCompatibilityWith: line.
