Overview

Use the control buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust the characteristics of the image being displayed. As you use these buttons to adjust the controls, the screen will be adjusted according to respective functions.

 

 

1. Exit key
Returns to last page, saves or quits the menu system.
2. 3/ Adjusts the parameter setting to a lower value or adjusts contrast setting.
3. 4

Adjusts the parameter setting to a higher value or adjusts brightness setting.

4. Enter key

Goes into submenus or selects items.

5. Power indicator This light glows green during normal operation.
6. Power button Use this button to turn the monitor on and off.

On Screen Display (OSD) Menu System

Accessing the Menu System

  1. With the menu off, push the Enter/EXIT button to open the menu system and display the main features menu.

  1. Push the 4 button to move to the next icon or push the 3to move back to the previous icon. As you move from one icon to another, the feature name changes to reflect the feature or group of features represented by that icon. See the  table at the end of this section for a complete list of all features offered by the monitor.
  2. Push the Enter button once to activate the adjustment function; then use the 3and 4 buttons to make your changes.
  3. Push the Enter/EXIT button once to return to the main menu to select another function or push the Enter/EXIT button two or three times to exit from the OSD.

Main Menu Mode

Grouped by functions, the OSD offers 6 major functions in Main Menu for making adjustments: Contrast, Geometry, Color adjustment, Recall, Degaussing and Miscellaneous.  The following describes the contents of each function and how you can make adjustments.

Adjusts the contrast between the foreground and background of the screen image.

3 decreases contrast
4 increases contrast

Brighti.gif (308 bytes) Brightness:
Adjusts the background brightness of the screen image.

H-posi.gif (308 bytes) Horizontal position:
Moves the screen image to the right or left.

3 moves the screen left
4moves the screen right

H-sizei.gif (293 bytes) Horizontal size:
Adjusts screen width.

3 decreases size
4 increases size

V-posi.gif (277 bytes) Vertical position:
Moves screen image up or down.

3 moves the screen down
4 moves the screen up

V-sizei.gif (334 bytes) Vertical size:
Adjusts screen height.

3 decreases size
4 increases size

Rotatei.gif (334 bytes) Rotation:
Adjusts the viewing area when it is tilted left or right.

3 rotates entire screen right
4 rotates entire screen left
Pincushi.gif (328 bytes) Pincushion:
Straightens the left and right vertical edges of the display.

3 curves image inward
4 curves image outward

Unbalance:
Adjusts balance when the sides of the display are bowed toward left or right. 

3 bows toward left
4 bows toward right
Trapezoi.gif (317 bytes) Trapezoid:
Adjusts the width of the top and bottom of the screen.

3 widens top of screen
4 widens bottom of screen
Parallelogram:
Adjusts the viewing area when it appears to lean to the left or right.

3skews screen image left
4 skews screen image right
Top Corner

Adjusts the edges on the top corners of the screen images

3widens top screen image 
4 narrows top screen image  

Bottom Corner

Adjusts the edges on the bottom corners of the screen images

3widens bottom screen image 
4 narrows bottom screen image  

Color Temperature:
Color temperature is a measure of the "warmth" of the image colors. Choose between 2 predefined colors or select "User Color" to define your own choice.

Preset Color
C1   9300K, more blue
C2   6500K, more red
Recall.gif (7112 bytes) Recall:
Returns monitor to original settings.

Enter : Recall

Exit : Exit

Degauss.gif (7741 bytes) Degaussi.gif (351 bytes) Degauss:
Removes color distortion caused by magnetic fields. Do not use more than once in 30 minutes.

note.gif (949 bytes) NOTE: The monitor may buzz momentarily, the image colors may change, and the image will jiggle for a few seconds. These effects are normal.

 

Hor. Moire:
Adjusts horizontal moire.

3adjusts to lower value 
4 adjusts to higher value 

Ver. Moire:
Adjusts vertical moire.

3adjusts to lower value 
4 adjusts to higher value 
OSD Position:
Adjusts OSD horizontal and vertical position.

3moves to left side or lower position
4 moves to right side or higher position

 

 

Language:
Changes the language that the OSD uses.

3 and 4 scroll through on-screen language options
English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, and Español.

note.gif (949 bytes)  The language chosen affects only the language of the OSD. It has no effect on any software running on the computer.


OSD Warning Messages

A warning message may appear on the screen indicating that the monitor is out of sync.

This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. Either the signal is too high or too low for the monitor to use.  See Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical scan ranges addressible by this monitor.

Sometimes, no warning message appears, but the screen is blank, which could also indicate that the monitor is not synchronizing with the computer.


LED Indicators

Monitor State LED state
On Power LED is green
Standby Power LED is amber
Suspend Power LED is amber
Active-Off Power LED is amber
