Using the Front Panel

Use the buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust the image settings.

Using the OSD Menu

NOTE: If you change the settings and then either proceed to another menu, or exit the OSD menu, the monitor automatically saves those changes. The changes are also saved if you change the settings and then wait for the OSD menu to disappear.

Accessing the Menu System & General Function

  1. With the menu off, push the MENU button to open the menu system and display the main features menu.

  1. Push the or buttons to select the desired set of submenus adjustments. Push the Menu button to enter the submenu.
  2. Push the or buttons to select the desired adjustment parameter within the submenu.
  3. Push the or buttons to adjust the selected parameter.
  4. Push the MENU button to return to the main menu to select another function or push the MENU button twice times to exit from the OSD.

    Adjustment
    This menu is obtained through Direct access. Push and hold the menu button for 5 seconds or more to see your monitor information

    Information:
    Shows you the Model Name, Serial No., Manufactured date and Revision No.

    This menu is obtained through Direct access. Push the / or  / buttons. Brightness/Contrast:
    Adjust the background brightness of the screen image.

    Push the / button to adjust brightness.
    Push the  / button to adjust contrast.

    Center (Horizontal Position):
    The / buttons move the screen left or right.
    Center (Vertical Position):
    The   / buttons move the screen up or down.
    Size (Horizontal):
    The  / buttons change the horizontal size of the screen image.
    Size (Vertical):
    The  / buttons change the vertical size of the screen image.
    Size (Zoom):
    Simultaneously adjusts the width and height in order to "zoom in" or "zoom out".

    The    button decreases the screen image.
    The    button enlarges the screen image.
    Rotation:
    The   /   buttons adjust the rotation setting.

    The   button will rotate the screen image counter-clockwise.
    The     button will rotate the screen image clockwise.
    Pincushion:
    Pincushion straightens the left and right vertical edges of the display.

    The  /   buttons curve image inward/outward.
    Pinbalance:
    The  /  buttons adjust how much the pincushion control proportionally affects the left/right side of the screen.
    Trapezoid:
    Trapezoid adjusts the width of the top and bottom of the screen.

    The   /   buttons  widen bottom of screen or top of screen.
    Parallel:
    The  /   buttons simultaneously adjust the vertical straightness of both the left and right side of the screen.



    Color temperature:
    Color temperature is a measure of the 'warmth' of the image colors (red/green/blue). The available range is between 6500 to 9300K. There are three available presets (9300K, 6500K  and sRGB. Select each one to see how each range suits your eye.... or utilize the 'User Preset' option to customize the color settings to your exact choice.

    9300K Preset is selected to obtain a bluish tint.

    6500K Preset is selected to obtain a redder tint.

    User Preset: Use the left and right buttons to gradually increase or decrease the color temperature from 6500K to 9300K.
    Language:
    Choose the language used in the menu.
    You can choose one of 5 languages(English, German, Spanish, French, Chinese).
    Degauss:
    Remove color impurities caused by magnetic fields. Do not use the Degauss feature more than once within a 30-minute period.

    Push the    button to execute the degauss function.

    NOTE: The monitor may buzz momentarily, the image colors may change and the image will jiggle for a few seconds. These effects are normal.

    Moire  Adjust:
    Corrects for an on-screen Video moire  pattern caused by interference between a well focused electron beam and the color phosphor dots on the front of the screen.

    Left and Right buttons adjust the amount of "beam wobble" to clear the moire  pattern.
    OSD H Position:
    Change the horizontal position where the OSD menu appears on your monitor.
    OSD V Position:
    Change the vertical position where the OSD menu appears on your monitor.
    OSD Lock/Unlock:
    Allows you to secure the current control settings so that they cannot be inadvertently changed. You can unlock the OSD controls at any time by using the same procedure.


Automatic Save

Whenever you open the OSD and allow an adjustment window to remain on screen for about 3 seconds without pressing another button, the monitor automatically saves any adjustments you have made. These changes are saved into a user area in the monitor. User areas are reserved according to the signal frequency of your computer. The monitor can save adjustments for up to eight user modes. It has eight preset modes, one for each signal frequency, as listed in Preset Display Modes.

If you have made no adjustments, the on-screen menu disappears after 15 seconds and the monitor does not save anything.


Reset Features

OSD Menu Reset

Reset current mode:
Will reset all adjustments back to factory for the current video preset mode.

Reset all mode:
Will reset all adjustments back to factory for all the video preset modes.

Note:Only in allusion to the preset mode,can reset all adjustments to factory for all the video preset modes.


OSD Warning Messages

A warning message may appear on the screen indicating that the monitor is out of sync. This warning message will scroll through the screen.

This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. Either the signal is too high or too low for the monitor to use.  See Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical scan ranges addressable by this monitor.

Sometimes, no warning message appears, but the screen is blank, which could also indicate that the monitor is not synchronizing with the computer.


Setting the Optimal Resolution

For optimal monitor performance while using the Microsoft Windows operating systems, set the display resolution to 1024 x 768@85Hz by performing the following steps:

1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Display icon in the Control Panel window, and then click the Settings tab.
3. In the Desktop area, move the slider bar to 1024 by 768 pixels. Then click Apply.
4. When prompted to apply the settings, click OK. Your screen will turn black for a moment.
5. Once your screen resolution changes, you have 15 seconds to confirm the change. Click Yes to confirm the change.
6. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
7. On the Monitor tab, in the Refresh Frequency list, select 85 Hertz. Then click OK.
