Troubleshooting
Features
Your monitor includes features to
help you troubleshoot problems.
Monitor Self Test
Your monitor provides a self test
feature which allows you to check if your monitor is functioning properly. If
your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains
dark, use the following steps to perform the monitor self test:
1. Power OFF both your computer and
the monitor.
2. Unplug the video cable from the
computer or video card.
3. Power ON the monitor.
If the monitor is functioning
properly, you will see a flashing RGB box with a white border and black text
inside stating:

This box will also appear during
normal operation of your system if the video cable becomes disconnected or
damaged.
The LED stays green in self-test
mode.
The self-test pattern remains on
in the self-test mode.
4. Power off your monitor and reconnect
the video cable, then power on both your computer and monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank
after using the above procedure, check your video controller and computer system;
your monitor is functioning properly.
