Overview

The Dell M1110 Color Monitor is equipped with direct access on-screen display (OSD), which allows you to adjust the monitor by selecting adjustment control with the front-panel buttons. Additionally, a secondary OSD function is available.

Use buttons 1 through 5 to activate the functions on your monitor. The functions are horizontal/vertical size and positioning, trapezoid, pincushion, rotation, color select, language select, and OSD positioning. Once the specific function is selected, use buttons 7 through 10 to perform the adjustments.

Pressing buttons 7 through 10 by themselves will adjust brightness and contrast.

Secondary OSD

The secondary OSD function uses combinations of buttons as described in Adjusting the Monitor.


Adjusting the Monitor

The following tables describe the primary and secondary OSD functions.

Primary OSD Functions

Buttons OSD Menu Description

Press button 1 to activate the horizontal size and position menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust horizontal size, or press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust horizontal positioning.

Press button 2 to activate the vertical size and position menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust vertical size, or press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust vertical positioning.

Press button 3 to activate the trapezoid and pincushion menu. 

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust trapezoid, or press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust pincushion.

Press button 4 to activate the right trapezoid and right pincushion menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust right trapezoid, or press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust right pincushion.

Press button 5 to activate the rotation and color select menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust  picture rotation, or press buttons 9 and 10 to select color temperature: 9300K, 6500K, 5000K and user.

Press button 6 to activate the brightness adjustment and contrast adjustment menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust brightness, or buttons 9 and 10 to adjust contrast.

Press button 6 along with buttons 1 through 5 to activate secondary OSD functions menu.

Press buttons 7 and 8 to adjust brightness.

Press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust contrast.
11 11.gif (1571 bytes) (No OSD menu) Press button 11 to activate the manual degauss feature. Use only when you see color impurities on the screen after turning the monitor on. Wait about 10 minutes before repeating this function.
12 14.gif (1033 bytes) (No OSD menu) Power indicator: Indicator glows green while the unit is in normal operation. Indicator blinks in power management modes.

13 13.gif (1657 bytes) (No OSD menu) Press button 13 to turn monitor on or off.

Secondary OSD Functions

Press buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously to activate the red color control menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust the degree of red.

Press buttons 2 and 6 simultaneously to activate the green color control menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust the degree of green.

Press buttons 3 and 6 simultaneously to activate the blue color control menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust the degree of blue.

Press buttons 4 and 6 simultaneously to activate the horizontal moire menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to turn horizontal moire on or off. Press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust the level of moire cancellation.

Press buttons 5 and 6 simultaneously to activate the vertical moire menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 7 and 8 to turn vertical moire on or off. Press buttons 9 and 10 to adjust the level of moire cancellation.

Press buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously to activate the language select menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 9 and 10 to select the desired language.

Press buttons 3 and 4 simultaneously to activate the OSD position menu.

Once in this menu, press buttons 9 and 10 to move the OSD in any of six possible locations on the screen.

8 8.gif (1816 bytes) + 9 9.gif (1540 bytes) Image13.gif (37732 bytes) Press and hold buttons 8 and 9 simultaneously for two seconds to perform a factory recall.

This function resets the current user mode. No other user-programmed modes will be affected.

9+ 9.gif (1540 bytes) + 10 10.gif (1604 bytes) + power button (No OSD menu) Press buttons 9, 10 and power button simultaneously to reset all factory presets. All user-stored settings will be deleted.

Automatic Save

Your settings will be automatically stored after the adjustments are made. You can store up to 26 different settings. One setting is allowed for color temperature, rotation, contrast, brightness and language select.
