Obtaining Technical Assistance

Obtaining Technical Assistance

Dell offers its customers free technical assistance for the first 30 days following the purchase of a Dell computer. Dell Technical Assistance helps with installation, configuration, and usage questions. If technical assistance is required while using Windows 95 with a new Dell computer, contact Dell at any of the numbers provided in the Dell documentation.
After 30 days, technical assistance is provided through a fee-based service. Users can purchase technical assistance on a per-incident call or on a contract basis. For more information on these options, contact a local Dell sales representative.

NOTE: Some locations outside the continental U.S. provide fee-based software support, while others continue offering software support free of charge for an indefinite period. Call a Dell representative to find out which kind of support is available.

A complete listing of service and support options is located in the Dell Directory. The Dell Directory is an online brochure about Dell, its products, and its services. Access the Dell Directory as follows:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Point to Programs 20000001.gif20000003.gifDell Accessories, and then click Dell Directory.

The Dell Directory can also be accessed from the desktop by double-clicking the Dell Accessories icon.
