Pentium Processor Upgrade: Dell Dimension XPS 50/66 FS

CAUTION: See Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge.

Make sure that you have installed the most recent BIOS version before installing the P24T 63-MHz Pentium OverDrive or P24T 83-MHz Pentium OverDrive upgrades. Earlier BIOS versions may cause errors or failures. Updated BIOS files are available through the Dell BBS, FTP, and World Wide Web sites.

This system also requires an Interposer Board, which disables the write-back mode, in order to operate correctly. In the U.S., the Interposer Board may be purchased with sku# 454703 or directly from Intel Corporation at 1-800-321-4044 or 1-503-264-7000.

NOTE: Dell does not support or provide warranty service for hardware failures caused by OverDrive microprocessors installed on any nonsupported Dell system. Dell does not guarantee the compatibility of third-party devices, such as expansion cards, with these Intel microprocessor upgrades.
