Installing/Removing Memory

Installing a SIMM

  1. Remove the cover.
  2. While pushing outward on each of the SIMM socket's metal tabs, rotate the SIMM upward until it is
    released from its socket.
  3. To replace or reinstall a SIMM, align the SIMM with the slot in the center of the socket, with the cutout toward the back of the chassis, and press slowly upward until it snaps into place.
NOTE: To remove a SIMM, follow the instructions in reverse order.
