Diagnostics Diagnostics

Select this option in the MAIN MENU to perform system-level diagnostics on the selected DAC960PL controller. Once the DIAGNOSTICS are started, the user cannot return to the configuration utility. Press <Y> to continue with the DIAGNOSTICS or <ESC> to return to the MAIN MENU. The DIAGNOSTICS menu has two options: SELECT ADAPTER and BOARD DIAGNOSTICS.

Select Adapter

This option will allow users to select the DAC960PL controller on which the DIAGNOSTICS need to be run. Once it is selected, return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu and invoke the BOARD DIAGNOSTICS option.

Board Diagnostics

When invoked, this option displays a BOARD DIAGNOSTICS menu with five options: MEMORY TESTS, TRANSFER LOGIC TESTS, SCSI I/O PROCESSOR TESTS, SCSI INTERFACE TESTS, and LOOPBACK TESTS. Normally, the user should select each one of them and perform the ALL TESTS option.

If there are any diagnostics error, note down the menu, option invoked, and the error message reported by the diagnostics for troubleshooting purposes.
