Consistency Check Consistency Check

On any redundant RAID system, consistency of the logical drives may need to be verified after a system crash or power breakdown. Use CONSISTENCY CHECK from the MAIN MENU to verify the consistency of the system drives.

When it is selected, a screen similar to Selecting System Drives for Consistency Check is displayed. All of the system drives are displayed on the left side of the screen. Use the cursor keys to select a particular system drive to be checked for consistency, and press the <ENTER> key.

NOTE: This option checks the consistency of only one system drive at a time. Select the other system drives, and run the consistency check on them one at a time.

The utility checks if the selected system drive is a redundant system drive, and if it is, starts the CONSISTENCY CHECK (see Consistency Check in Progress ). At the end of the check, if the system drive has some inconsistent blocks, the user is prompted to restore consistency.

NOTE: Restoring consistency could mean loss of data in the blocks that were found inconsistent.

If the system drive is found to be a nonredundant drive, a message to that effect is displayed as in Nonredundant System Drive
