A system with a DAC960PL disk array controller installed in it

All of the disk drives properly connected to the DAC960PL and powered on

One diskette disk drive

NOTE: The DAC utility is always run from a diskette drive.

Once the user has completed the configuration, the resulting data is written to the controller's nonvolatile memory and flash EEPROM. The next time the system is rebooted, the controller uses this information to organize the storage system's presentation to the operating system.
