VGA Subsystem

This system has a built-in VGA subsystem. The output from the VGA subsystem goes to the video connector on the computer's back panel.

NOTE: If a VGA expansion card is installed, the plug on the EVGA jumper must be removed to disable the built-in VGA subsystem.

The built-in VGA subsystem can display both text modes and graphics modes.

Extended video modes provide resolutions beyond those contained in the original VGA standard. Some application programs require video drivers to take advantage of these modes.

NOTE: Extended video modes are not standard among VGA equipment manufacturers. Dell's built-in VGA subsystem is compatible with the Cirrus Logic VGA products.
