receiver's connection. The receiver must be 8 inches (20 cm) from electrical
devices. DO NOT remove the purple PS/2 adapter

to the purple keyboard
PS/2 port.

Cordless
Device is not Detected:
-
Make sure the keyboard USB connector of the receiver (with keyboard logo
mold on USB connector) is attached with the purple PS/2 adapter and plugged
into
the PC system’s purple PS/2 port, and the mouse USB connector
of the receiver (with mouse logo mold on USB connector) is plugged
into any of the
USB port of the PC system. When installing the device on a PC, install
the MouseWare or iTouch software and reboot the computer before connecting
the
device cable. The MouseWare and iTouch software CD is included with
your wireless desktop package.
- Make sure the PS/2 port or USB
port has the proper configuration. Refer
to your computer documentation for the correct port configuration.
- You
may have other system devices (for example, a modem card) that conflict
with the device. Check the IRQ/address settings of these devices
for conflicts, and change the settings as required. If the problem persists,
please contact
technical support.
Cordless
Device is Detected but does not Work:
- Make sure you have connected
the receiver correctly. The receiver cable goes into the computer's PS/2
port or USB port. For optimal performance, place
the
receiver at least 8 inches away from other electrical devices, such
as the computer, the computer monitor, or external storage drives.
- Make
sure you have installed the batteries correctly. Check to make
sure the batteries you have installed are good and not dead. Try the
batteries in another
device.
- Establish communication between
the receiver and the mouse or keyboard. Press the Connect button on the
receiver first. Within 30
seconds, press the
Connect
button of the mouse or keyboard. Repeat the same sequence for the
other device if needed.
- If you are working on a metallic
surface, try moving the receiver closer to the mouse or keyboard.
- Try unplugging
then reconnecting the receiver cables to the computer. Make sure the
computer is turned off when unplugging and plugging the keyboard
receiver
connector with the purple PS/2 adapter.
Cordless
Device Works Erratically:
- Ensure that the batteries
are good and not drained.
- Ensure that the receiver is located
at least 8 inches away from other electrical devices such as the computer,
the monitor
or speakers. Refer
to the section
on Environment for more information.
- If the problem is RF interference
and cannot be rectified by relocating the receiver, then re-do the connection
procedure: press the connect button
on the receiver, then within 30 seconds press the connect button on
the problem device (either keyboard or mouse). Re-check the performance.
- If
you cannot avoid working on a metal surface, refer to the Environment section for possible solutions.
- You can check the mouse battery
status in the Mouse Properties Control Panel (see section How
to Check the Mouse Battery Status below) and
the keyboard battery status in the iTouch Configuration
(see section How
to Check the Keyboard Battery Status below).
