Product Introduction:
The Logitech® Wireless Keyboard
and Optical Mouse Desktop Solution consists of a 1-channel wireless radio
frequency (RF) keyboard, and a 1-channel wireless
RF mouse. Both devices communicate with the receiver uni-directionally using
Logitech 27Mhz RF technology. All three devices feature a CONNECT button to
facilitate the initiation of the wireless connection, and both RF links are
secured using a digital ID locking feature. The typical transmission range
of each device is approximately 2 meters.
Compatibility:
The Wireless Keyboard and Optical
Mouse Desktop Solution is compatible with Dell® PCs and supports Windows® XP.
This wireless desktop solution is compliant to the requirements of the Windows
Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL).
Environment:
With radio frequency (RF) cordless devices, the positioning and environment
in which the receiver operates is crucial. If you have the receiver on any
type of metal surface, the RF signal sent to the receiver from the cordless
device might bounce or get lost. Monitors, flat screen monitors, speakers,
power outlets, network hubs, and other electronic devices emit electro magnetic
interference (EMI), which may also cause problems with cordless RF devices.
If you have any issues that involve the keyboard missing keystrokes, or erratic
behavior of the mouse, look at your environment. To resolve these types of
issues, try moving the receiver at least 8 inches away from other electrical
devices. Interference issues can also be resolved by moving the mouse closer
to the receiver. You may also want to experiment with different locations and
positions for the receiver, including moving the receiver to an upright/vertical
position or rotated to a different angle. Another alternate solution is to
elevate the receiver by placing it on a CD-ROM case or other item.
